Come along to the Brisbane Illustration Fair weekend to celebrate all things Illustration! Featuring 170+ artists over two days showcasing and selling their work!! Meet the artists and share in their love of illustration, zines, comics, printmaking and more! Make a day of it and get creative, have lunch at one of the amazing food trucks and join a workshop! Northey Street Organic Farmers Market
There are a wide variety of organic fruits, veg, microgreens, grains and seeds, herbs and spices, meat, seafood, dairy, bread, milk, cheese, eggs, honey, pantry items, vegan food, ethical gifts, health and well-being services, kids activities, the City Farm Nursery, coffee, tea, juice, green smoothies, kombucha and Chai or Iced Matcha with your scrummy organic breakfast. This eclectic exhibition of beautifully hand-crafted artworks is presented by members of the Queensland Branch of ATASDA (The Australian Textile Art and Surface Design Association). They have used a wide variety of mediums, techniques and styles to create art, wearables, homewares, jewellery and gifts, to admire and purchase. The original of the Brisbane City Markets inner-city markets, Wednesday at Reddacliff Place is a favourite for city workers, local residents and tourists alike. Bluewater Festival
The festival kicks off on Thursday 17 April from 4-8pm with a relaxing afternoon by the water. Enjoy a range of food trucks, live music and cool drinks. Then on Friday 18 April the festival is in full swing from 9.30am-8pm. Moora Park, Shorncliffe is jam packed with entertainment through the day with live bands, kids workshops, rides, food and markets all culminating into a beach party and fireworks in the evening. The festival is held on the scenic foreshore at Shorncliffe in conjunction with the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race (Friday). This event is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.
