About This Event
Join a fun guided walk to visit some of our resident bats and learn some amazing facts about these winged wildlife heroes. These quiet (and not-so-quiet) achievers are crucial to the health of forests, making all bats ecological powerhouses! There will be giveaway take-home crafts for children and some tips on easy ways we all can help bats with their struggle to survive.
Suitable for families. Groups welcome. Less than 1 km on easy walking paths.
After the activity, visit the environment centre and explore the beautiful natural surroundings of the bushland reserve.
On the day of the event: Please arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the environment centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed shoes, and bring insect repellent. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
