Little Artist’s Eye Spy
Polish your peepers! You never know what you might spot. There is plenty for little eyes to spy with this free MoB Kids activity sheet. Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? This playful Museum experience will immerse you in all manners of local art, history and culture, encompassing five different exhibitions. Ask our friendly staff at MoB reception when you arrive. RQAS Exhibition: All Creatures and Wild Things
Royal Queensland Art Society Exhibition: All Creatures and Wild Things For this exhibition, artists were invited to consider our relationships with animals. Artworks can depict imagined, observed or experienced perceptions of the natural world, explore environmental and scientific themes, or investigate animals in folklore, symbology or the domestic realm. The exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Thursday, 17th April to Sunday, 11th May 2025. *Please note* gallery closed for the Easter long weekend (Apr 18-20th) and ANZAC Day (Apr 25th). Awards Night On Wednesday, 23rd of April at 7pm, join us at Petrie Terrace Gallery for the exhibition Awards Night! At this event we will announce the winning artworks. Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Bands in Parks: Saturday Night at the Movies
Bands in Parks performs at Queensland Tennis Centre. The South East Queensland Symphonic Winds invites you to take a trip with them through the history of cinema. You'll hear themes from classics like the Wizard of Oz, songs from big shows from West Side Story to Les Mis, Disney favourites The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas, and the sweeping score from epics like Titanic and Out of Africa! This is a night for the whole family to enjoy. The café and bar will be open so enjoy your music with a glass of wine and a meal. Please note there is no BYO to this event. Sherwood Arboretum Guided Walk
Sherwood Arboretum, established in 1925, is Brisbane’s only botanic garden dedicated exclusively to growing Australian native trees. The Arboretum holds scientific and cultural values with many of the original plantings undertaken by prominent citizens of Brisbane. The guided walk will be led by the Volunteer Guides of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha and the Friends of Sherwood Arboretum. Requirements: Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Meeting point: Meet at the shelter adjacent to the main carpark off Jolimont Street, Sherwood. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.
