Free guided tour - City Botanic Gardens

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Calling all footy lovers! Join us for great food, great company and plenty of footy banter at the Variety Magic Round Long Lunch – all the while raising money for Queensland kids who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disability to be the best they can be. We will be joined by host Ben ‘Dobbo’ Dobbin, legendary NRL champion Corey Parker, and other exciting NRL guests yet to be announced. We will also hear from some very special Variety guests, Jill and Jonathan Gillam, about how their son Rowan is thriving through sport despite a dramatic accident that changed their lives forever. Your ticket includes canapes on arrival, a four-hour house beverage package and two-course meal. We will also enjoy a live auction and raffles, with fabulous prizes up for grabs. 2025 marks Variety’s 50th anniversary in Australia, and we will be cutting a birthday cake. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this celebration to remember, held in the stunning Victoria Park Marquee, surrounded by a room full of Variety supporters, raising money for Queensland kids who need us most.

Gathering presents John Corowa. John Corowa has a warm soulful style and enjoys the likes of Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Aussie Rock, Motown Rock ballads and easy listening. John has released a EP titled 'One Breath' featuring his daughter Georgia Corowa. Join his live performance on the main stage of Queen Street Mall from 12 noon - 1pm. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
