Children’s storytime in the park - Pallara Park, Pallara
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

Community Immunisation Clinic - Kenmore
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Quiet hours at Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre are an opportunity to explore the Centre at your own pace. During quiet hours, we dim the lights, lower the sounds and pause some activities. This creates a soothing space for you to explore at your own pace. This designated time is intended for those who prefer or may benefit from a quieter and more relaxed surrounding. This may include those with autism, sensory sensitivities, disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses or anyone who prefers less sensory stimulation.

Talk to a Planner sessions help residents, business owners, community groups and industry professionals understand Brisbane City Plan 2014 (City Plan) and how it relates to their building and construction plans. Talk to a Planner is available all year round, with additional sessions held regularly across the city for your convenience. During these free sessions you can speak face-to-face with a planning specialist, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how City Plan relates to your property. Council also has a team of dedicated officers who can answer simple questions about your development application over the phone during business hours (9am-4pm, Monday-Friday). What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own.

Bush Babies offers a safe space for families to connect with each other and their local bushland reserve. Requirements: All babies must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed walking shoes and insect repellent.
