RQAS Exhibition: All Creatures and Wild Things
Royal Queensland Art Society Exhibition: All Creatures and Wild Things For this exhibition, artists were invited to consider our relationships with animals. Artworks can depict imagined, observed or experienced perceptions of the natural world, explore environmental and scientific themes, or investigate animals in folklore, symbology or the domestic realm. The exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Thursday, 17th April to Sunday, 11th May 2025. *Please note* gallery closed for the Easter long weekend (Apr 18-20th) and ANZAC Day (Apr 25th). Awards Night On Wednesday, 23rd of April at 7pm, join us at Petrie Terrace Gallery for the exhibition Awards Night! At this event we will announce the winning artworks. Bazil Grumble playtime
Bookings essential. Children will have a ball in this series of interactive learn and grow sessions! Using balls, hoops, parachutes, tunnels, jumping sacks, puppets, storybooks, costumes and music, children will explore all the different ways their growing bodies can move. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for children and their caregivers to experience the fun of social interaction through play.

Troubleshooting your compost
Join a compost troubleshooting session with Environment Centre staff. Learn the basics of some home composting options and get help with your composting questions. Requirements: Please wear sun-safe clothing and fully enclosed shoes. Sunscreen recommended. Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Bush Kindy
Bush Kindy is for children aged 3 - 5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. Bush Kindy can go for up to 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes vary each week. On the day of the event: Please arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Please wear a hat, fully enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Please bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. It is recommended to bring a spare change of clothes as sessions may include messy play. Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Fun soccer for kids 4-5 years
Bookings essential. This program offers fun soccer classes specifically designed for children between the ages of 4 and 5 years old. This is a fantastic way to introduce children to the sport of soccer while also promoting physical activity, coordination, teamwork, and confidence.

Clock Tower Tour

For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Children’s storytime in the park - Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

Yoga and meditation
Classes are designed to promote general wellbeing, overall health and relaxation to help ease stress or tension in the mind and body. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.

For the Love of Tony & Friends
For the Love of Tony & Friends will take the audience on a musical journey celebrating the songs and life of iconic American artist Tony Bennett, along with memorable songs from the greatest crooners of all time. Throughout a remarkable career spanning seven decades, no artist in popular music has recorded for as long and at such a high level of excellence as Tony Bennett. Acclaimed Australian vocalist Chris Lloyds will be accompanied by the Jamie Rigg Band will showcase a repertoire of timeless standards, treating the audience to classic melodies and heartfelt stories. Gathering - Robyn Hourigan: Weaving
Gathering presents Robyn Hourigan. Robyn Hourigan is a proud Bundjalung Woman. Weaving, a tradition she learned from her own cousin, Robyn uses mainly raffia sourced from palm trees and more traditionally lomandra grass to create a range of items like earrings, baskets and bookmarks. Join us from 12 noon - 1pm, at the Queen Street Mall main stage to create your own bookmarks. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.

Community Immunisation Clinic - Toowong
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at the National Health Medical Research Council vaccination schedule for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver our Brisbane Vision.
